3 years of clinical experience in the blood bank, chemistry, hematology, & microbiology.
Route 4Full-time Clinical experience of 3 years in blood banking, hematology, immunology, chemistry, microbiology, and all body fluids within the prior 5 years
Associate degree with a combination of 6 semester hours in chemistry and 6 semester hours in biology.
Approved institution 60 semester hours with biology and chemistry (6 semester hours in both) can used in place of an associate degree
 

ASCP MLT Pathways: Approved Laboratory

Your clinical experience to meet the requirements of MLT ASCP certification must be obtained from an approved lab.

The following are a few labs that are accredited by the ASCP Board of Certification:

  • JCI accreditation
  • CMS CLIA certificates of compliance, registration, and accreditation
  • Accreditation under ISO 15189
  • DoD CLIP certificate of compliance, registration, accreditation

Vital Tips of United States Applicants

The education that you received from the ABHES/NAACLS-authorized MLT program is only workable for 5 years after the date of finishing this program.

To complete your online application form, you must upload the following docs in PDF format.

  • Official copy of your SBR, EBR, or DD214 form
  • Official credential verifying your training program completion
  • Official papers of your military code (MOS, NEC, 68K, or AFSC code)
